Screws and sockets - versatile use
Screws and plugs are essential for furniture construction. They are used to screwing together furniture legs, join shelves and fasten all common building materials. These little helpers are indispensable for all professionals and DIY enthusiasts. When the screws are screwed in, countersunk heads are flush with the surface and do not protrude. Threads on fully threaded screws extend over the entire length of the screw. On partially threaded screws, the thread only extends halfway. Torx and hexagon socket are two types of screw thread that are available in our online shop. Torx can be easily recognised by the star-shaped countersunk head, which prevents slipping during assembly, as can happen with other screw thread types. The hexagon socket screw head drive is known as an Allen key and can be recognised by the hexagon in the screw head.Practical functions for your furniture
Chipboard screws can be used not only for chipboard, but also for all types of wood and plastic. The screws are screwed with Torx or hexagon on the countersunk head with a full or partial thread. Euro screws with countersunk heads have a short full thread. Equipped with a hexagon socket or cross recess, connecting screws are ideal for connecting shelving constructions and cabinet parts together. Screw-in nuts with four drive-in points ensure a secure screw connection. These prevent the nut from twisting and are worked deep into the material to be processed. After fastening, they are flush with the surface, similar to countersunk heads. Screw-in sockets are screwed in with a hexagon socket spanner and ensure a secure hold with the large external thread. They are made of wood or plastic and are used to loosen and re-screw these connections as often as required.
